The TUM Boring project focused on creating a more efficient, cost-effective solution for tunnel construction. Our 23-ton tunnel boring machine won Elon Musk's 2021 Not-a-Boring Competition, beating over 400 universities worldwide. The machine was designed to revolutionize urban infrastructure, particularly in transportation, by drastically reducing time and costs. 
We raised over $1 million in sponsorships and crowdfunding to bring this project to life, receiving media attention in over 70 newspapers and magazines across three continents, including major outlets like Die Zeit, Business Insider, Süddeutsche Zeitung, Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, Handelsblatt, and El Tiempo, which has 3.5 million readers
